Dad's Army - Don't Tell Him Pike

This is the classic Don't tell him Pike episode from Dad's Army. Set in the British Home Guard of the Second World War, Dad's Army quickly became a classic and is one of the few sitcoms from the sixties and seventies that still get aired today on the main channels. Each character in Dad's Army stood out and was an individual. That is one of the ingredients of a great sitcom that help it become instantly a hit in the hearts and homes of the public.

The Michael Parkinson Attack. (1976)

Here is the well known Emu (Rod Hull) vs Parkinson sketch which goes wrong for Parky. It's fun to see just how scared the presenter Parkinson is by just a puppet. It's so strange how evil this puppet Emu can look even though he isn't real.

Argument Clinic

Yes you did, No I didn't, this is one the most memorable sketches from the  Monty Python TV series. Sheer lunacy and brilliance all in one. No it isn't, Yes it is!!

Mork Meets The Fonz

If you've ever seen Mork and Mindy and wondered where he came from (apart from the planet Ork) , well he first started out as a one-off character in Happy Days. Here, he's still the crazy space cadet , but Happy Days was set in the late 1950's/early 1960's and Mork and Mindy started firmly set in the late seventies. Did some strange time travel take place? No, it was a strange dream had by Richie Cunningham , although there was a strange twilight zone-ish twist at the end.

Rabbit season, duck season

The crazy Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd outwitted again by Bugs Bunny. It's horrible really what lengths Daffy will go to in order to get Bugs shot.

Fawlty Towers - Talkative Moose

A funny clip from Fawlty Towers. Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) has just bought a moose head for his hotel lobby. He doesn't bank on The Major totally misunderstanding what the thing is. Fawlty Towers (and Basil Fawlty) was inspired by an actual hotel that Cleese and the rest of the Monty Python team were staying in John Cleese wrote each episode with his then wife, Connie Booth who plays Polly. Each episode would take up to six weeks to write.

Back to the Future Theme Song

Not The Power of Love, no, the other theme tune , the one that the Back To The Future movie begins and ends with. Well these two have took that tune and added words to it and retold the WHOLE story of the movie in time with it. It's a staggering feat. This is the kind of clip that makes you want to go back and watch the original again, even if you've seen it a million times already.
Great Scott!!!!.......................Heavy................

Rollerskating - Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em - BBC classic comedy

One of my favourites from the sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em .Highly accident prone, Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford) can never hold down a job, gets on everyone's nerves and always manages to land himself in hot water. The catchphrase "Oooh Betty" was so famous and yet it was only uttered in one episode. Michael Crawford went on to become a hugely successful Broadway and West End star

The Firm - "Star Trekkin'" - ORIGINAL VIDEO - HQ

Time for a musical interlude now with the characters from Star Trek in a zany animation from The Firm.
Captain James T Kirk "We come in peace and shoot to kill."..
(try singing along to it, even at the end when it speeds up and jumps from character to character)
Despite selling over a million copies around the world , the song was never a hit in America.

Two Ronnies - Four Candles

Probably one of the most famous sketches ever  from the Two Ronnies  (Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett) which depicts one customer and an increasingly irate shop keeper trying to understand what it is that the customer is saying.
The original script for this in Ronnie Barker's handwriting sold at aution for £48,500 in 2007.

Lee Evans Bohemian Rhapsody

The brilliant Mr Lee Evans doing his famous Bohemian Rhapsody routine. You can never get tired of watching this. Coincidentally he shares his birthday (25 Feb) with a famous sprinter also called Lee Evans.

A Muppet Family Christmas Part 5 of 5

This Muppet special in the late eighties features Jim Henson's Muppets, Sesame Street characters and the Fraggle Rock crew (in the middle of the show) . This is the ending of that show, a rare chance to see most of Jim's creations in one place. Me go now. Me want cookie!!

Kids In The Hall - Bobby versus Satan

Hillarious stuff from the Canadian sketch comedy group. If you've never heard of them before, they were very much like Monty Python's Flying Circus but from the late eighties/early nineties. Here young Bobby Terrance (Bruce McCulloch) in a grump from taking out the trash has to duel the Devil (Mark McKinney) on his guitar. It all makes sense when you watch.
